Update on the STS Integra RS

I realize that it's been a long time since there were any updates on the Integra RS. In fact, I believe it was last pictured bone stock. Well, not a whole lot has changed, but it is different nevertheless.

In the past several months I have been working towards campaigning this 94 Integra RS for the STS autocross class. Aside from the 89 Civic Si, there are not too many cars that have a legitimate chance at becoming the "class killer" car. In the back of my mind, I had always thought that the 94-95 Integra RS might be another competitive car, but I had never seen it tried before. I'm not trying to create a nationally competitive car, but in the meantime, it's a pretty fun daily driver that has been reasonably competitive in our local STS classes.

This past weekend marked my 5th event in the Integra since it was lightly prepared. I ended up in 5th out of 15 in a fairly competitive Louisville STS class. The top two finishers were about a second ahead of me in a well sorted 89 Civic Si on Bridgestone RE-01Rs. As I become more comfortable with the setup, I will update my progress and thoughts more on this site. For now, I am still getting used to the car as a whole.

Tail of the Dragon visit

Mike and I decided to tag along with the Zdayz meet at the Tail of the Dragon in mid-May. Amidst all of the Nissan fans, we managed to have a good time in our Hondas and put on a good show. It was the first trip to Deal's Gap and Fontana for both of us. Personally, I felt that the Dragon itself was much more catered towards bikes. Many of the surrounding roads in North Carolina had much wider sweeper turns to carry a bit more speed and not use the brakes so much.

Either way, the Dragon is an amazing road that every car enthusiast should try to visit. During our several periods of downtime for accidents being cleaned up, we talked to visitors from places as far as Canada (who made the trip on bikes!) Overall, for bike and automotive enthusiasts alike, it's a great area of the country to hang out and have fun. We are going to plan an official Rzoops.com trip to the Dragon later this summer when it isn't quite so busy with tourists and car and bike clubs.

No videos, but here's a few pictures:

Another new project - AP1 S2000

Last weekend I decided to buy yet another Honda for the collection. This time it's a 2000 Honda S2000 with a fresh 39,000 miles on it. I purchased it with running A Stock in mind, however, I believe I will be using it primarily for weekend cruising and track days. As summer rolls in, I will be sure to document many upgrades to both cars!

Changes to the site

Please be patient as I work on updating the look of the site a bit. You may notice things looking out of place, broken images, or other features being tested. I'm hoping to make information as concise as possible, as well as making it easier to navigate the site as a whole. Please let me know of any suggestions you may have.

New project - Integra RS

I purchased this new little project in December, without really having any particular plans for it. It's a one owner 1994 Acura Integra RS that has been kept completely original. I even bought it from the same Acura dealership it was originally sold from! Stay tuned for more updates and progress. Please see the vehicle details page for all of the specifics.
